Monmouthshire County Council invites your views on our Local Food Strategy.
Monmouthshire County Council is developing a local food strategy that will guide our future work.
We would like to invite you to comment on the bones of our emergent strategy, including the purpose, approach, principles and thematic areas that have been identified through conversations and discussions within the Council, with colleagues across many organisations, and with individuals who work in our food system and/or have an interest in making that system fairer, more ethical and more locally based.
How to get involved
We would like to hear from members of the community, in particular local food and farming businesses and community food leaders, to ground-truth our proposals at an early stage.
- If you would like to respond in writing please email your comments to: food@monmouthshire.gov.uk by 5 p.m. on Thursday 14 March.
We are also holding two informal in-person sessions, where there will be a brief presentation from MCC Officers and then an opportunity for questions and answers. Light refreshments will be provided.
Please book using the links before 12 noon on the day so we know roughly how many people to expect.
- Monday 11 March, 16:30–17:30, Abergavenny Community Centre, Merthyr Rd, Abergavenny NP7 5BY
- Tuesday 12 March, 16:30–17:30, The Drill Hall, Lower Church Street, Chepstow, NP16 5HJ.
