Monmouthshire Letting Service is an experienced and professional team based in Monmouthshire. By working with us you will have access to an experienced team of housing advisors who have successfully managed hundreds of properties over the past ten years. There are currently no fees involved for any of our services.
How it works
We’ll talk to you about the property that you have to let and discuss requirements. We will advise on the different schemes available to you. If you wish to proceed, we will request to view the property. We will visit to check the condition of the property and discuss the standards that we require including safety certificates, furnishings etc. We will discuss a rental amount with you and advise you of the process.
The property standards are the same across all of the schemes we manage.
- Properties should be free from any Category 1 hazards which would cause a risk to a person’s health and wellbeing, in line with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
- Properties should be Fit for Human Habitation, in line with the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016
- Structural elements should be in good condition
- Mains powered and interlinked smoke detectors should be present on each floor, that meet with relevant fire and safety regulations
- A carbon monoxide alarm should be present in any room containing a gas appliance, an oil-fired combustion appliance or a solid fuel-burning combustion appliance
- Properties should be in good decorative order and cleaned throughout
