Anyone can apply.

How to Access Housing Support

It is best to ask for help early, and it’s NEVER too late to seek help and advice.  To access Housing support you can either make a self-referral, or ask another person to contact us on your behalf.  This could be a Social Worker, Housing Officer, a Family Member, Friend or anyone else.

If you are not sure whether support is right for you, please contact us to discuss what support we can offer.  If the support we offer does not meet your needs, we can assist you with finding the appropriate service to help.

What Happens Next

We will contact you to arrange a visit to discuss your referral, or if you prefer, we can arrange a telephone appointment to discuss your support needs.

During this appointment, we will complete an evaluation of your support needs and you may be placed onto a waiting list before accessing services.

Once allocated to support, you will have a support worker who will meet with you regularly to help to resolve any housing related issues you may be experiencing.

Support is provided either by Monmouthshire County Councils in-house team or via one of our external provides who work alongside the Housing Support Gateway Team.
