Monmouthshire Specialist Teaching Service (MoSTS)

What is MoSTS?

The Monmouthshire Specialist Teaching Service (MoSTS) is a team of specialist teachers and HLTAs (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) who work together with schools to help pupils overcome barriers in their acquisition of literacy skills.

As part of their support and work with schools, MoSTS also deliver literacy interventions to individual and small groups of pupils.

Schools, usually via the ALNCo (Additional Learning Needs Coordinator) are responsible for gaining the involvement of MoSTS.

Informed Consent

Permission and signed consent is always sought from parents/carers prior to the involvement of MoSTS.
