A Wind Turbine Planning Advice Note has been prepared at a regional level to set out a methodology to determine whether or not Environmental Impact Assessment is required for wind turbine development and the minimum requirements and standards of information to be submitted with a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment. This was endorsed by a Single Cabinet Member Decision in March 2016.
An Archaeology Planning Advisory Note has been prepared at a regional level to set out guidance and methodology to determine whether, and to what extent, archaeological surveys and assessments are required for development within Monmouthshire County Council Planning Authority. The document also provides guidance on archaeology within Monmouthshire, the designated Archaeologically Sensitive Areas and what this means, and contact details for organisations related to archaeology. This was endorsed by an Individual Cabinet Member Decision in July 2020
