Due to recent landslips at Pwll Ddu, the foundation of the road adjacent to the quarry has been severely damaged, posing a risk to public safety. As a result, the Pwll Ddu Road has been closed to all vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians until further notice.

The Monmouthshire County Council Highways Department has commissioned consultants WSP to assess the area and explore options to keep the road open. During this time, we kindly request that walkers, cyclists and drivers avoid this route for their safety.
