We offer our sincere condolences to the family of Cllr David Evans. Dave was first elected to the council on 1^st May 2008 to represent the West End ward and continued to do so until he stood down at the elections in May 2022. Dedicated to the Caldicot community, Dave continued to be a town councillor for West End until he died.

Dave was a chair of the county council’s democratic services committee on a number of occasions and during his time in office was a member of most committees with a wide breadth of experience and knowledge across the spectrum of the Council.

Dave loved serving his local community and was proud to be the Mayor of Caldicot, chairing the events committee, managing the carnival, Christmas lights and firework events etc.

Dave was a kind, dedicated and supportive councillor and will be greatly missed.
