This October half term, Monmouthshire County Council’s Community Development Team is hosting a series of FREE events to provide support and advice on the cost of living.
These events are open to all residents and aim to help residents connect with local organisations and access valuable resources in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Participating organisations include:
- Monmouthshire County Council services
- Citizen’s Advice
- Local foodbanks
- Severn Wye Energy Agency
- Warm Wales
- Welsh Water
- DWP (Department for Work and Pensions)
- Gateway Credit Union
The events will also feature free family activities, including food sustainability, play and craft sessions, pumpkin decorating and much more.
Event Locations and Dates:
- Tuesday, 29 October: Bridges Centre, Monmouth – 11am-4pm
- Wednesday, 30 October: Chepstow Drill Hall – 11am-4pm
- Thursday, 31 October: Abergavenny Market – 11am-4pm
An event will also be held on Tuesday, 12 November, at Caldicot Library 12pm -4pm.
Monmouthshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, Cllr Angela Sandles, said: “These events can provide our residents with information that will help them in difficult times. If you’re looking for information or support, pop along this half term to speak to the wonderful teams and organisations that can assist you.”
