Consultation on the Licensing Act Policy 2025

The Licensing Act 2003 requires each Licensing Authority to determine and publish a statement of its licensing policy at least once every five years.  The policy must be published before it carries out any licensing functions under the Act.

The current Licensing Policy was adopted on 1 July 2020 and as such it is now currently being reviewed.  You can view this Draft Licensing Policy, which is  instrumental in determining applications that affect premises that sell or supply alcohol, sells hot food and drink between 11p.m. and 5a.m. and/or provides regulated entertainment.

I hope you take the opportunity to read this document and we would be happy to receive any comments on this policy.  The period of consultation runs until Friday, 15th March 2025.  This is your opportunity to contribute to this important policy document update in order to work towards a vibrant and safe community.
