Monmouthshire carries out regular monitoring of the volume and value of tourism to the local economy, via participation within the Scarborough Tourism Economic Activity Monitor (STEAM) model.

Brown and white tourism signs
We revised our brown and white tourism signs policy in May 2011 to make more businesses eligible for signage.
Under the new policy, visitor attractions (for example) need to attract 4,000 visitors every year to have signage.
